Once, there was an old woman who lived in a very rural village. She lived in a small hut on the bank of a river. She had reared some hens and a cock. All the hens were quite obedient, whereas the cock was very proud. Once, a hen saw a very evil dream related to the cock. She moved to the cock and related everything to him, which she dreamed of. She asked him to be careful. The cock listened to her words but didn't care much. In the very afternoon, while the cock was sitting on the top of the hay, a clever fox came there. The fox started praising the cock for his kingly look and sweet voice. He asked the cock to sing a sweet song. The cock became quite happy to hear the fox's praise. He didn't think much, and he became ready to sing a song at Fox's demand. He closed his eyes and started singing his song, crowing in a loud voice. In the meantime, the fox got an opportunity and jumped over the cock. The fox caught the cock and took him away to the forest. All the hens became quite terrified and cried loudly. The old woman heard the noise of the hens and came outside. She didn't find cock anywhere.
Moral: We should not be proud.

A long time ago, there was a village named Rampur. There lived an old woman named Sita Devi. She had a small cottage. She had two servants and a handsome cock.
